Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 7, 2026

Overview

OpenClaw Alpha provides public prompt and playbook libraries, Google-based account access, paid subscriptions and one-time booster packs for image-generation quota, file upload and download features, and related account tools.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you browse the site, sign in, purchase paid products, upload files, generate images, or use account features, and how we use and protect that information.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect the following categories of information:

1. Account and Authentication Data

  • What this includes: Your Google account name, email address, avatar, provider account identifiers, internal user ID, and session records.
  • Why we collect it: To authenticate you, maintain your account session, secure account access, and provide account-related support.

2. Subscription and Payment Records

  • What this includes: Purchased plan or product, billing status, price, currency, quota entitlements, and Creem customer, payment, or subscription identifiers.
  • Important note: Payment card details are processed by our payment provider, Creem. OpenClaw Alpha does not store full card numbers or similar raw payment credentials.

3. Content, Files, and Task Records

  • What this includes: Prompts submitted for image generation, files you upload, generated asset URLs and thumbnails, usage logs, task IDs, task status, and related result metadata.
  • Why we collect it: To run image-generation tasks, deliver uploaded or generated assets back to you, show account history, debug failures, and process quota or refund logic.

4. Public Source Metadata for Playbooks

  • What this includes: For some playbooks, we import publicly available source information from public third-party posts, such as author display name, username, avatar, profile URL, and source post URL.
  • Why we collect it: To attribute the source of a playbook, preserve context, and link back to the original public source.

5. Device, Cookie, and Analytics Data

  • What this includes: Authentication cookies, language-preference cookies, browser and device information, page interactions, and analytics data collected through Google Analytics.
  • Why we collect it: To keep you signed in, remember your locale, measure usage, improve site performance, and detect abuse or operational issues.

How We Use Information

  • To provide and operate the prompt library, playbook library, account pages, uploads, downloads, and image-generation features.
  • To authenticate users through Google and manage account sessions.
  • To process checkout events, purchases, subscriptions, quota balances, and related billing records.
  • To run image-generation tasks with third-party providers and store resulting assets in our file-storage infrastructure.
  • To troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, enforce our rules, and comply with legal obligations.

How We Share Information

  • With service providers that help us run the service, such as Google for authentication, Creem for payments, Cloudflare R2 for file storage, APIMART or similar providers for image-generation task processing, and Google Analytics for analytics.
  • On public prompt or playbook pages where we intentionally display published content, public source attribution, or related metadata.
  • When required to comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or to protect our rights, users, systems, or the public.
  • In connection with internal operations such as fraud prevention, security review, accounting, audits, or a business reorganization, merger, or asset transfer.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

  • Authentication cookies keep signed-in users logged in and protect session integrity.
  • A locale-preference cookie stores your selected language so the site can route and render correctly.
  • Analytics scripts and cookies help us understand traffic and usage patterns.
  • If you disable cookies, some features, including sign-in and language preference, may not work correctly.

Data Retention

  • Account, subscription, quota, and purchase records are retained for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, provide support, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Uploaded files, generated assets, and related task metadata may be retained until they are deleted, replaced, removed by us, or no longer needed for service operation. We do not currently guarantee a fixed automatic deletion window for all files.
  • Public prompts, playbooks, and related attribution data may remain available until they are unpublished, replaced, or removed.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect the information we control, including access controls, authenticated endpoints, and provider-level security measures.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

  • You may choose not to sign in or not to purchase paid products, although some features will then be unavailable.
  • You can manage cookies through your browser settings, subject to feature limitations described above.
  • You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account-related information, subject to legal, security, and record-keeping requirements.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, operational, or legal changes.

When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the Effective Date.
